Lutherville-Timonium was a census-designated place (CDP) in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States, for the 2000 census. At that time the population was 15,814. For the 2010 census the area was split into two CDPs, the unincorporated communities of Lutherville and Timonium. Within its borders lies the Lutherville Historic District, where the Maryland State Fair is held each year near Labor Day. The CDP is located at 39°2611N 76°376W (39.436456, 76.618461).According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP had a total area of 7.4 square miles (19.1 km²), all of it land. The town is located on the banks of the Susquehannock River, which flows into the Ohio River. It is located near the town of Timonium, which is located in the eastern part of the state, about 30 miles (50 kilometers) to the south. The U.N. World Heritage Site is located nearby. It has a population of about 1,000. The United States Census Bureau has a total population of 7,816. The area has a land area of 7.4 square miles (19.1 km²) and a population density of 1,077.7 per square mile (2,836.7/km²). The C DP had a 2010 Census population of 2,814. It had a population growth rate of 0.8 per cent (0.9 per cent in the 2010 Census year. The population grew by 1.2 per cent from the 1990s to the 2000s. The 2010 Census reported a total of 3,817.

The New Jersey Tollway, which connects New Jersey with New Jersey and New York, runs along the border. It was built in the early 1900s.
